Description

Overlooking the shimmering waters of Maguga Dam and surrounded by breathtaking landscapes the lodge offers a tranquil retreat.

ACCOMMODATION

Bed & Breakfast

Within the gardens of Maguga are thatched roofed rondavels, a modern spin on the traditional huts found in the surrounding rural areas of Swaziland. Either side of the rondavel are two private rooms with an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning, Dstv and a patio to enjoy the views from your front door.

Self-catering cottages

Down a short dirt road past the Maguga restaurant and deck you will reach the edge of the dam and two self-catering cottages nestled in the vegetation. If a large group, there is a 10 sleeper with two rooms downstairs with a shared, and a dorm effect upstairs with a shared bathroom. Or choose the smaller cottage with two en-suite bedrooms. Each cottage is complete with a fully equipped kitchen, lounge and private patio with amazing views of the dam. An outside braai area and fire pit where you can regroup and tell tales of the adventures experienced at Maguga.

Camping

Choose which view you want to see as you unzip your tent in the morning; inland or dam’s edge. Both sites are secure, quiet and full of the natural splendor that make up the Maguga Lodge experience. Modern elements, such as electrical plug points, lighting, ablution facilities and braai areas have also been included in the campsites to make your experience as convenient as possible.

ACTIVITIES

An array of activities including boat rides, rock art, hiking trails, fishing, beauty therapy and a chance to experience a Swazi homestead and enjoy traditional singing and dancing.

CONFERENCING

We have 3 different conferencing venue options: a venue for up to 15 delegates, another for up to 40 delegates, and up to 200 delegates, all with views of the dam.

WEDDINGS

We boast an unmatched location of vistas of natural beauty, rolling hills and the magnificent Maguga Dam
