Description
Shana Terhart joined the Cape Dieticians team in 2015, heading up a practice in Edgemead, also located in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town. In 2016 the team further grew to include Andrea Jacobs who sees patients from the Kuilsrivier practice.
Ananda, Shana and Andrea are passionate dietitian and nutrition experts, wanting to better your quality of life, empowering you with healthy lifestyle choices and balanced nutrition.
Ananda Pieterse:
BSc in Dietetics (Hons) (UFS)Ananda completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics from the University of the Free State in 2002 before completing her community service year at Sabie Memorial Hospital in Mpumalanga.
In 2005 she moved into a private practice and established dieticians consultation rooms in and around the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town.
Shana Terhart Young:
BSc in Dietetics (Hons) (UCT)Shana completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology from the University of Stellenbosch followed by a Bachelor of Science Medical Honours degree specialising in Dietetics and Nutrition from the University of Cape Town. She then completed a year of community service at Leratong Hospital in the Gauteng Province before returning to Cape Town.
Andrea Jacobs:
BSc in Dietetics (Hons) (UWC)Andrea Jacobs obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Dietetics in 2011, from the University of the Western Cape, before completing her community service year at Uitenhage Provincial Hospital, in the Eastern Cape, in 2012. She became permanent staff at that hospital for another year before returning to Cape Town in 2013. Since then Andrea has gained experience working at different private practices and hospitals around Cape Town.
